About Keely
Keely is an artist, graphic designer, and writer. She is currently an Art Director at the Purdue for Life Foundation communications team, associated with Purdue University. At PFL, Keely handles anything and everything, from print design, to environmental signage, to branding campaigns. She also manages the designer responsible for the Broad Based Campaigns work at Purdue. Previously she was the Senior Graphic Designer of St. Mary’s College of Maryland where she won gold, silver, and bronze awards for her design in the CASE circle of Excellence awards, Collegiate Advertising Awards, and the Educational Advertising Awards. She’s been published on comiXology for her graphic novel, Conducted, in the The Great Courses: Great American Short Story: A Guide for Readers and Writers, and in The Mulberry Tree.
Outside of work, Keely is also an editorial artist and designer, specifically focusing on the relationship between narrative and image within her pieces, as well as the boundary between graphic design and contemporary art. Her work explores virtual spaces, and experiments with the relationship between the viewer and the subject. She uses an array of techniques and software to produce her work, including drawing with pen and paper, vector illustration software, and the Adobe Creative Suite.
